Small-town girl Stacey Nixon admits, she hasn't had to face a whole lot of adversity in her life, but she will wholeheartedly tell you that through fitness, her life has done a complete 180—from both her physical and mental health, to her confidence and tenacity to stand up for nothing less than what she believes in. “You have to be your own biggest cheerleader first. Set boundaries, and through this, I truly believe that you can do or achieve whatever you set your mind to. I live my best life. All. The. Time. Whether I’m with clients, friends or family, I’m looking to bring the best energy to the moment.” Her reliability and authenticity in who she is, no matter the circumstance, seems to be what makes her stand out as a coach and friend that people gravitate toward.

“I think it’s all a balancing act. At times, your family or your friends or
your work are going to need to be higher on the priority list, but as a human and a mom, looking after yourself needs to be right up there, too."

“I started out like SO many other women... a busy mom—of four—juggling extra curricular activities, lunches, family obligations... and I let myself become the last priority,” she says. “With each pregnancy came more weight. I never really lost the ‘baby weight,’ I was too busy ‘momming,’” she explains. Not that she needs to. Women get it. After her fourth baby, Stacey found her way back to fitness and as she puts it, “hopped on the video workout train.” Which led to taking classes, and even teaching certifications. “I taught the classes, but, still wasn’t losing the weight,” says Stacey. “It wasn’t enough.” So she didn’t stop there. “I joined Team STRONG Girls in 2017. I wanted to stop the never-ending cycle I was in of trying to get fit.” One major thing she felt STRONG Girls were doing differently? “Lifting weights, and creating community,” says Stacey. “I wanted to be a part of that, and do what they were doing, and I had the motivation and determination to do it. My body, my confidence, and my lifestyle all changed from that time onward.” Stacey wasn't afraid of hard work, or sticking to a goal. She says perseverance is her strength, and firmly believes that's what sets apart successful women. It's through perseverance that she finally achieved her fitness goals after putting her well-being aside for so long, and how she became a coach with Team STRONG Girls. “Our personalities and our circumstances might be different, but when we wonder how to turn our life around, it often comes down to how much you really want it, and how hard you're willing to work for it,” she says.

“You don't have to look a certain way, fit a certain mold–you simply just have to start.”

Now, Stacey is only looking—and moving— forward. Purposefully impacting other women’s lives through coaching is a big part of that. Stacey is driven to help inspire and motivate women to prioritize themselves, and their health.  “Through fitness, nutrition, motivation, boundaries and grit, I want to change the lives of as many women as I possibly can,” she says. Stacey maintains that the keys to successfully discovering years of health and wellness are balance and resilience. “I think it’s all a balancing act. At times, your family or your friends or your work are going to need to be higher on the priority list, but as a human and a mom, looking after yourself needs to be right up there, too. I never remove myself from my to-do list. And when the unexpected happens, as soon as I can, I center myself and get back in the gym.” Her best piece of advice to women—especially moms—who have put themselves on the back burner while taking care of everyone else? It's time to heat things up. “Just start. Dream Big. Take the Risk,” she says. “You don't have to look a certain way, fit a certain mold—you simply just have to start.”
